• Why do I have to wait so long in between treatments?

  • Treating a tattoo’s more frequently will not expedite the removal process. Expect to have treatments every 8-12 weeks. This is because the laser shatters the pigment of the tattoo which activates your body’s immune system to attack the ink and then purges it from the body.  After this process the body will encapsulates the ink again and this is the prime time to treat. This process takes at least 8 weeks to do.

• I have received a few treatments and I don't feel like I see a difference

  We have to treat tattoos in a specific way. The first couple of treatments you won’t see as much pigment being removed. This is because we are working on the deepest level pigment first and then we start to move more superficially once that ink is gone. If we skip this step and blast your tattoo, you will see fading faster but you will most likely be left with a shadow of your tattoo and this is very difficult to remove! After 3-5 sessions you will start to see fading because there are fewer layers of ink in the dermis.

• How long will it take to remove my tattoo?

  Expect it to take around 2-3 years. Tattoo removal is a slow process when it is done correctly.

• How many treatments of tattoo removal will I Need?

  It varies from person to person and tattoo. We see an average of 10-14 treatments on an all black tattoo.

• Is there anything I can do to help speed up the process?

  Drinking lots of water, exercising, massaging the area, and avoiding alcohol and smoking will help your body flush the tattoo particles quicker. A healthy body is able to break down a tattoo faster.

  PFD patches are available as an add-on. These patches help to remove the tattoo quicker.

• Can color tattoo's be removed?

  Yes, but they do take longer to remove. Black is the easiest color to remove.

• Can all ink be removed?

  There are different types of inks. Some are organic, which are made out of plant-based materials. While synthetic inks are usually made out of heavy metals or types of plastics. Synthetic inks are more difficult to remove.

  Yes! Once your skin has fully healed (usually after 3–6 months), you can get a new tattoo over the treated area if desired.

• Can I remove only part of a tattoo?
