IPL is a popular cosmetic treatment that uses broad-spectrum light to target various skin issues. It is commonly used to treat Hyperpigmentation, Sun Damage, Age Spots, Broken Capillaries. During an IPL session, the light penetrates the skin and is absorbed by the targeted tissue, causing damage and triggering the body's natural healing process. This leads to a more even skin tone and texture. IPL treatments are non-invasive, require minimal downtime, and are typically performed in a series for best results. It is important to consult with a qualified skincare professional to determine if IPL is the right treatment for your specific skin concerns.

generally considered to have minimal downtime, and patients can typically return to their normal activities immediately after. However, some side effects and aftercare tips to consider include:
Redness: may appear slightly red or flushed after treatment, similar to a sunburn.
Dark spots: Any hyperpigmentation may darken and look like "coffee grounds" or "pepper flakes". These spots will eventually fall off within a few days to a week, revealing new skin.
Skin sensitivity: The skin's surface can become very sensitive, especially to heat. It's important to treat your skin gently and avoid the sun as much as possible. You should also avoid harsh topicals like retinol and glycolic acid for a week after treatment.
Swelling: Mild swelling may occur, but it usually resolves in 2–3 days.
Sunscreen: It's important to wear sunscreen and sun-protective clothing, hats, for a few weeks to maintain results.
